Zs has been through many incarnations since their beginning in 2000, but at the record release show for New Slaves Pt. II – ESSENCE IMPLOSION! (Social Registry, 2011), it was mainly Sam Hillmer on saxophone, Ben Greenberg on guitar, and Ian Antonio on drums. The record is a “sequel” to their previous release New Slaves (Social Registry, 2010) that features remixes by a range of luminaries (including famed industrial pioneer Genesis P-Orridge of Psychic TV and Throbbing Gristle).
